About this file
This document is an Award Decision/Determination of Responsibility Memo from the U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons Mid-Atlantic Region for Federal Prison Camp Alderson's Fiscal Year 26, Quarter 2 Dairy Requirements. The Request for Quote (RFQ#15B10126Q00000007) was received on November 11, 2025, with the goal of awarding the contract to the most responsible quoter providing the best value to the government, based on evaluation factors of price, past performance, and delivery terms.
The procurement covers four dairy items: 3,500 half-pint milk containers, 300 five-gallon milk containers, 100 containers of cottage cheese, and 80 containers of sour cream. Two vendors, Gallikers and Rocky Step, submitted quotes, with Rocky Step offering lower total pricing of $18,629.00 compared to Gallikers' $20,057.00. The Procurement and Property Specialist, A. Tabor, determined both vendors to be responsible based on their previous commercial item deliveries to the facility and their ability to accommodate the prison camp's delivery schedule.
