About this file

This document is a Vendor Questions and OSMRE (Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement) Response document addressing technical mapping and grading issues. The document contains two vendor questions related to contour line elevations and cross-section grade lines on sheet C 2.0 of a site plan.

The OSMRE responses clarify that the elevation labels (676' and 680') are correct but not precisely positioned on the contour lines, with the top of a mound being at 682' elevation. Regarding the cross-section grade lines, OSMRE indicates that cross-sections were not used to calculate earthwork quantities, and if absolutely necessary, any additional linework could be addressed after the Bid Award. The document suggests that these are clarifying technical details for a potential construction or land development project, with the agency providing specific technical guidance to the vendor.

VENDOR QUESTIONS OSMRE RESPONSE

The proposed finish grade contour lines are incorrectly labeled in the Southwest corner of the site on sheet C 2.0. Some labels are not on the contour lines. Please provide an updated contour map with correct elevation labels?

The two 676’ labels and the one 680‘ label themselves represent the correct elevation, though they were not placed accurately on the appropriate/adjacent the contour lines. The two 676’ labels apply to the adjacent line slightly to the NW and the 680’label, slightly obscured by the project boundary, will correspond to the first contour to the SE of its current location. The top of the mound though not labeled is at an elevation of 682’.

Several of the proposed grade lines on the cross sections do not tie back into the existing surface. Please provide additional linework for these areas.

Cross sections were not used to calculate earthwork quantities. See note on sheet C 2.0. If absolutely necessary, this could be addressed after the Bid Award.
