About this file

This document is a specification for Vacuum Dehydration Oil Purifiers issued by the Wyoming Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation. The agency requires six TGV1-15 vacuum dehydration oil purification units with specific technical characteristics: a minimum operating flow of 15 GPM, water removal to below 5 PPM, a three-gallon stainless steel condensate tank, 50 PSI working pressure, and two heating elements. The units must be movable via forklift and crane, pass through 42-inch doorways, have a NEMA 4 rated enclosure, and include comprehensive process controls with alarms and shutdowns.

The procurement includes two line items: one unit powered by 240 VAC (3 ph, 60 Hz) and five units powered by 480 VAC (3 ph, 60 Hz). A Process Flow Diagram is required with technical submittals. All six units will be delivered to the Bureau of Reclamation Wyoming Area Office Warehouse in Mills, WY. Optional operator training may be provided by the manufacturer, to be conducted within an hour's drive of the Mills office, though in-person training is not mandatory if the operator's manual is deemed sufficient.

Vacuum DehydraƟon Oil Purifiers Salient CharacterisƟcs

Wyoming Area Office, Bureau of ReclamaƟon requires six (6) TGV1-15 vacuum dehydraƟon oil purificaƟon units. The common characterisƟcs are listed here and the differing characterisƟcs, in lines 010 and 020, below; the differing characterisƟcs are solely the power requirements.

The hydraulic and turbine oil will be purified of contaminants including water and solids. The oil purifiers will be capable of being moved via forkliŌ and crane and through 42-inch doorways. A NEMA 4 rated enclosure will house all components requiring protecƟon and the rest of the components coated to resist oil and water. The controls will be sufficient to prevent process upset, including, but not limited to, alarms/shutdowns for high and low fluid levels, high temperature, and dirty filter. The inlet will include an inline strainer to remove bulk parƟcles. Each component will be capable of cleaning, reclaiming, or replacing the removal media. The unit will be capable of operaƟng without external pumps. The discharge pump will be a posiƟve displacement pump with internal relief valve.

Any operator training or demonstraƟon conducted by the provider, to ensure the warranty, will be conducted at or within an hour drive of the Mills, WY office. In-person training is not a requirement if the manufacturer believes the operator’s manual is sufficient. Training will be coordinated upon shipping units to the Mills warehouse.

The following specificaƟons will be met:

Minimum OperaƟng Flow of 15 Gallons Per Minute (GPM) Water Removal to Below 5 Parts Per Million (PPM) Minimum three (3) Gallon Stainless Steel Condensate Tank with AutomaƟc Water Drain 50 Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) Working Pressure Two (2) HeaƟng Elements with Individual Heater Switches OR Programable Temperature Set
