EC-Estes Trash Service Requirement

RFQ 140R6024Q0049

Questions/Answers 18 April 2024

Question #1 – Will the Estes Trash Service requirement be performed by more than one (1) vendor?

Answer #1 – The Government intends to award to one contractor.

Question #2 – Vendors in this area are no longer carrying this size due to decreased demand to the street sizes in this zip code. Is the USBR open to using a 2 cubic yard dumpster for this purpose as a start?

Answer #2 – At the moment, the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) does not have a recycling dumpster. Therefore, starting out with a 2x2 yard dumpster will be just fine. BOR is also requesting the dumpsters to be place in BOR’s upper parking lot which currently has enough space and is also on asphalt.

Question #3 - Do you know if the USBR/DOI will be needing to dispose of any of the following materials for this job? Some vendors do have exclusions/limitations for these following items:

Cement

Rocks

Shingles

Metal

Dirt

Paint

Oil

Refrigerators

"Special Waste" materials such as such, oil, petroleum based products, tires, PCB products, anything flammable or corrosive.

Answer #3 - None of the items listed above will need to be dispose of.
