About this file

This is a Question and Answer document (Amendment 1) for solicitation 140R4026Q0020 issued by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation for El Vado Road Closure Traffic Control services.

The document addresses a contractor inquiry regarding the treatment of permit fees in the price schedule. The government clarified that all costs associated with acquiring the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) permit and obtaining approval of a Traffic Control Plan (TCP) with stamp can be included within the existing "Traffic Control Plan with Stamp" line item (LIN), or contractors may propose separate Contract Line Items (CLINs/LINs) to itemize permit-related costs distinctly. This guidance provides flexibility in how bidders structure their pricing for permit acquisition and traffic control plan approval activities.

Amendment 1 140R4026Q0020 Solicitation for El Vado Dam Road Closure Traffic Control

Question and Answer

1. Please clarify whether permit fees should be included with an existing LIN, or if we should add a separate CLIN/LIN for permit-related costs?

The Price Schedule provided with the Solicitation included a Line (LIN) titled Traffic Control Plan with Stamp, all costs associated with the acquisition of the NMDOT permit and approval of a TCP can be included on this line, or additional lines can be added to reflect proposed costs.
