140R4025Q0074 – Water and Soil Testing Services

1. The RFP states that labs need to be certified in CO and NM. The only certs those two states have are for Drinking Water testing. Can you verify if those certs are indeed needed, and what portion of the testing is Drinking Water testing?

Answer: The lab needs to have any applicable CO and NM certifications required to test raw water samples taken from CO and NM water sources, such as rivers and reservoirs.

The contract does not include drinking water samples.

2. Are all the “Regulated Primary Contaminants” Drinking Water samples?

Answer: This contract does not include drinking water samples.

3. How often will “impromptu” testing take place for water and soil samples?

Answer: Impromptu testing will take place as needed. Reclamation staff will do their best to communicate needs to the lab ahead of time. However, as stated in the Price Schedule, the lab will need to deliver bottles to Reclamation within 24 hours of request.

4. Are the coliform samples being taken in the CO sites, NM sites, or both?

Answer: Coliform samples are taken at sites in both CO and NM.

5. Will the samples be sent in batches?

Answer: It will vary. It is possible that samples could be sent in batches. Sample collection depends on factors that prevent a specifically definable rate.

6. We are given the number of samples per parameter. Is there a frequency at which we would receive samples?

Answer: Samples will not be sent in at a specific frequency. Sample collection depends on factors that prevent a specifically definable rate.

7. Will you allow a partial bid if the lab cannot perform certain analyses?

Answer: No, Attachment A states submittal of cost for each test.

8. If the lab does not perform the approved method, is the lab allowed to substitute the method they perform?

Answer: No.
