3. Is there are recommended water source to receive the bulk water for delivery?

Answer: No recommendations will be made; the contractor will be responsible for acquiring water.

4. Is this route to Havasupai a truck accessible route for bulk delivery?

5. SF 1449, CLIN reads as follows: 00010 Bulk Water Delivery - Havasupai Tribe Drought Assistance Project Base Year 1,334,053 Gallons of Water (Period of Performance, October 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023) SOW, paragraph 2 (last sentence) reads as follows: This contract will consist of a base contract period with one option period to deliver 10.9 acer feet of water per year for two years. SOW paragraph 3.a.2 reads as follows: 2) Quantities: i. October 2022 to December 2022: 1,334,053 gallons ii. January 2023 to March 2023: 889,369 gallons iii. April 2023 to June 2023: 1,334,053 gallons. These are ALL different quantities, which is correct?

The amount of water needed during the time periods indicated have been estimated and provided by a tribal consultant. The amount of water per quarter needs to be divided evenly according to the number of days and the volume needed to accommodate the total for each quarter. It is unlikely the amounts will always be the same each day, but it is anticipated the amounts required for each quarter will tally correctly. Due to the needs of the livestock and the impacts of weather/evaporation/infiltration/consumption the amount of water actually needed each day will vary.

6. What is the size "in gallons" of each tank?

The “tanks” are actually dry ponds or catchments. There are no reliable volume estimates, but they are easily sufficient in size for the delivery vehicles.

Site Name Acreage Acre Feet1 Mexican Jack Tank 0.73 1.46 Hidden Log Tank 0.53 1.06 Akaba Tank 1.46 2.92 Washoop Tank 1.25 2.5

Total 7.94

1Depth of tanks assumed to be 2 feet

7. Is there a specific amount of water needed per day?

As detailed in answer 6, the need will vary but the total volume of water needed in any quarter divided by the number of days that it can be delivered should provide a reasonable estimate of daily needs.

8. Is there a wifi gauge in the tanks to monitor the input, and how many gallons are each of the 4 tanks?

The tanks are dry ponds, there are no staff gauges or need for electronic monitoring. The catchments will likely hold any water delivered to them.

9. Is this a truck accessible route for a 9,500-gallon tanker?

Yes

10. Does this need to be spread out over 3 months or can it be done before the 3 month mark?

Generally, it needs to be scheduled evenly since the water is for livestock. Likely water consumption may be high at first, but deliveries must be made to keep enough water in each catchment to meet the needs of the tribe.
