About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for the Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation's Calibration Services contract (Solicitation 140R2025Q0050). The Q&A provides critical clarifications about the contract, including that multiple services can be performed in one day if equipment is available, the expected work start date is August 2024, and all calibration must be done on-site at the government facility. The document confirms the contract is firm-fixed price, with compensation only for services rendered, and explicitly states that emergency repairs or additional parts not originally quoted will not be included.

Key details from the Q&A include confirmation that the vendor cannot transfer equipment for calibration, all work must be performed on-site per paragraph 5 of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), and the last calibrations were completed in August 2024. The document addresses potential vendor questions about service delivery, scope of work, and compensation, providing precise guidance on expectations for the calibration services contract.

Questions and Answers

1. Can we perform multiple services all in one day, or in sets, leaving some for operations?

a. Yes, if all equipment is available, you can perform services that day. How long it takes is based upon the vendor.

2. Can you confirm if work can be done at govt. facility annually in August?

a. Yes, that is the expected start date of the period of performance.

3. Can we include emergency repairs and parts not requested in the quote? After close review of the PWS, this raises a concern.

a. No, as far as repairs, if it is broken, we just want to know what is wrong (why it failed calibration) and if we need to send it out for repair or replacement the equipment.

4. Will the vendor be allowed to transfer the equipment to their facility for calibration?

a. No, per the PWS in paragraph 5, all calibration must be done on site.

5. When were the last calibrations completed?

a. The last calibrations were completed in August 2024.

6. What is the compensation range for this project?

a. This is a firm-fixed price contract, only services rendered will be compensated per the terms of the contract.
