About this file
This file contains architectural drawings and schedules for a small residential structure suitable for Alaska climate conditions. The building features a beam and deck roof system with cedar timbers, a 2x6 floor system, and dimensions of approximately 22'-0" wide by 18'-0" tall, with interior space divided into functional zones including a covered porch area and wood storage section visible in the elevations.
The structure includes one insulated exterior entry door (D-1, 36" x 80") with swing operation suitable for Alaska climate conditions, and nine windows (W-1 through W-9B) with mixed operations and specifications. Fixed picture windows (W-1, W-2, W-3, W-6, W-7, W-9A, W-9B) include factory-integrated blinds or shades within insulated glazing units, while operable slider windows (W-4, W-5, W-8) feature insect screens. All exterior windows and doors must be suitable for cold-weather and Alaska coastal environmental conditions. The vendor is required to provide final shop drawings, floor plans, elevations, and window/door specifications for Government review and acceptance prior to construction or fabrication. Dimensional variations are acceptable if the approximate square footage remains within 3% of the requirement. The two left elevation picture windows (W-9A and W-9B) may be installed with minimal spacing to create a grouped assembly appearance, or consolidated into a single larger picture window if required by the vendor's final design.
