About this file

This is Amendment 0003 to Solicitation 140P9726Q0045, issued by the National Park Service (NPS), Alaska Regional Office on June 11, 2026. The amendment serves exclusively as a Questions and Answers document providing clarifications to offerors regarding the replacement of boiler and mechanical systems in six residential housing units at Katmai National Park in King Salmon, Alaska.

The amendment addresses four key questions: (1) Work hour restrictions require contractors to perform work daily between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, from award date through October 31, 2026, with two weeks' advance notice required before on-site work begins and any schedule deviations subject to Contracting Officer approval; (2) All residences will remain occupied by park staff throughout the contract period with minimal disruption expected during normal business hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; (3) Lodging is the contractor's responsibility and will not be provided by the Park; and (4) The government will accept 1-inch wall pipe insulation matching existing conditions rather than the 2-inch specification. The contract is firm fixed price with a performance period from July 10, 2026, to August 31, 2027. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the deadline specified in the solicitation.
