About this file
This document is an Amendment (Amendment 001) to a federal solicitation for Marin Headlands Forced Main Repairs by the National Park Service (NPS). The amendment provides detailed responses to 11 vendor questions regarding the project, including technical specifications such as existing pipe pressure (less than 100psi), pipe type (6" Schedule 40 PVC), and work performance details. Key clarifications include: the system will remain live during repairs, work can be done at night with a potential 3-4 hour shutdown, compaction testing is contractor's responsibility, and no bypass pumping is needed - instead a Vactor truck will be used for pumping. The amendment also notes that no as-built drawings are required for close-out documents, and the work involves removing and replacing a double cleanout with a straight pipe section. The solicitation is issued by NPS PWR - GOGA MABO, located in Building 201, Fort Mason, San Francisco, CA, with the Contracting Officer Patty Payne and Contracting Officer's Representative Tommy Daigle providing contact information.
