Question 2. To avoid field welding and reduced corrosion protection, the sections can be designed to slip together then secured in the ground. Would NPS consider this alternative method?

NPS response to Question 2: No.

Question 3. Can NPS please confirm that five (5) coats of paint are required as stated in the project documents? In our experience this is an excessive amount of paint.

NPS response to question 3: Five coats total is correct.

Question 4. The specifications list that a bidder must have an A, B, or C60 CSLB license. Please see the description below for a C13 Fencing

Contractor. The scope falls within that description. Would the NPS consider allowing a licensed C13 Fencing Contractor to bid this project as a prime contractor?

California Code of Regulations

Title 16, Division 8, Article 3. Classifications

A fencing contractor constructs, erects, alters, or repairs all types of fences, corrals, runs, railings, cribs, game court enclosures, guard rails and barriers, playground game equipment, backstops, posts, flagpoles, and gates, excluding masonry walls

NPS Response to question 4: Yes, however the contractor must still provide past performance information and demonstrate experience with projects of similar size and scope.

All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
