About this file
This document is an Amendment (Amendment 003) to a federal solicitation for electrical and water heater replacement work at park housing. The amendment addresses four specific contractor questions related to electrical work requirements: (1) breaker specifications, clarifying that GFCI/AFCI breakers are required with Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (CAFCI) acceptable; (2) confirming surge protection devices are required per NEC 230.67 for all new panels; (3) indicating no plumbing or electrical plans are available; and (4) noting that the only project walk-through occurred on May 19. The solicitation is issued by the National Park Service (NPS) Pacific West Region - Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GOGA MABO), located in Building 201, Fort Mason, San Francisco, California, with a solicitation number of 140P8625Q0051 and an effective date of 05/24/2025.
