About this file

This document is Amendment 001 to solicitation 140P8625Q0008, providing answers to vendor questions about interior tank cleaning services for the National Park Service Pacific West Region at Fort Mason in San Francisco. The amendment clarifies key technical details about the concrete water tanks: they are 20 feet high square tanks measuring approximately 100'x100', divided into two 200,000-gallon sections for a total capacity of 400,000 gallons per tank. The tanks are above-ground with 30"x30" access hatches in good condition.

The tanks were last cleaned in 2023 and contain less than 50 gallons of sludge. They have sprayed-on interior coatings over concrete but no liner. The work requires diving services with divers being disinfected with CL2 before entry and using NSF-rated equipment for potable water. The tanks will remain full and operational during service. Access is available via road for 24' trailers and 4WD trucks, and 110V power is available at each tank location. Past performance with potable water tanks is acceptable in lieu of AWWA certifications. The amendment effective date is 01/14/2025.
