Text version
Minuteman Missile National Historic Site:
Mix of archival footage and interviews from civilians and officers. Expresses the experience of both sides: communities and government. Professional lighting, editing and execution. Aesthetic feels a little dated (the title cards and graphics/fonts).
Nuclear Reactions Ed Intro. Video:
Uses mostly park staff, resources and archive. Expresses some of our essential questions. Use of music/audio to convey tone. Production quality isn’t there, missing relevant connections to modern times. Appreciate the scenic shots!
The Big Buildup:
Brief and narrative is clear and easy to follow. Graphics and after effects make it timeless. We want our video to be/feel evergreen. Music/sound supports the narrative. Uses sound bites from historic interviews to support narrative.
Gateway Nike Era Oral Histories:
Cold War at Fort Hancock - Gateway National Recreation Area (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) Example of available resources. Read first hand accounts of stories of the soldiers of the Cold War and their families who lived at Fort Hancock.
