About this file

This file is a Request for Information (RFI) Answers document dated 5/28/2026 for solicitation 140P8526Q0055, addressing contractor inquiries regarding the replacement of courthouse windows at Yosemite National Park. The government clarified that exterior window trim repairs are excluded from the project scope, with work limited to sash removal and replacement only. The 26 double-hung replacement windows are confirmed at nominal dimensions of 2'-0" x 5'-0" (24" x 60"), though actual measurements must be field-verified upon contract award prior to ordering. The Performance of Work period can be extended to September 15, 2026, subject to weather conditions. For Additive #1, six fixed trapezoidal windows are specified in three size variations: 3'-6" wide x 2'-6" to 3'-6" high; 3'-6" wide x 3'-8" to 4'-8" high; and 3'-6" wide x 5'-10" to 4'-10" high, with one right and one left unit of each size, all dimensions approximate and requiring field verification.

This is a Small Business set-aside procurement under NAICS code 238910 with a $19.0 million size standard, estimated at $25,000-$100,000 in construction magnitude. The solicitation requires contractors to provide all mobilization, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, site rehabilitation, cleanup, and demobilization. Quotes are due 12:00 P.M. on June 11, 2026 (Pacific Daylight Time), submitted via email only, with prior questions due to Brian Roppolo at brian_roppolo@nps.gov by May 22, 2026. Answers to all questions will be posted as an amendment on SAM.gov.

140P8526Q0055 JOMU Replace Courthouse Windows RFI Answers V2 5/28/2026

1. Is repair or replacement of deteriorated exterior window trim within the scope of this contract? If so, please provide guidance on the extent of repair expected and whether offerors should carry an allowance for trim work in their quotes.

a. If exterior trim repair is outside the scope of this contract, please confirm so that offerors may exclude it from their pricing accordingly. No additional repairs to window trim are included in the project scope, sash removal and replacement only - ensuring positive operation following installation.

2. Please confirm the correct replacement sash size for the 26 double-hung units. If the correct size is 2’-0” x 5’-0” (24” x 60”) as indicated by field conditions, please issue an amendment to the solicitation correcting the unit area and perimeter accordingly, so that all offerors are pricing the same window unit. The windows were confirmed to be 2'-0" x 5'-0" (nominal 24" x 60") - actual measurements should be confirmed upon contract award and prior to ordering replacement sashes.

3. Can the performance window be adjusted? The POP can be extended to September 15, 2026 - if weather conditions allow.

4. Can you provide the dimensions of the windows? The measurements for the 26x windows are 2'-0" x 5'-0" (nominal 245" x 60".

The fixed windows are trapezoidal and from left to right - 3'-6" wide, 2'-6" x 3'6" high; 3'-6" wide, 3'-8" x 4'-8" high; and 3'-6" wide and 5'-10" x 4'-10" - all measurements are approximate and should be field verified prior to ordering replacements.

5. In the RFI, the sizes of 26 windows are 24 x 60 which is OK. However, for the Additive #1 (6x) windows, only 3-4 sizes are mentioned not 6; see below:

The fixed windows are trapezoidal and from left to right - 3'-6" wide, 2'-6" x 3'6" high; 3'-6" wide, 3'-8" x 4'-8" high; and 3'-6" wide and 5'-10" x 4'-10" - all measurements are approximate and should be field verified prior to ordering replacements.

The fixed windows have one right and one left of each size, see picture above.
