About this file

This file is an Amendment containing Request for Information (RFI) Answers for a small business set-aside solicitation for shade structure demolition at Cabrillo National Monument.

The amendment addresses two critical clarifications regarding the demolition scope. First, it resolves a discrepancy between specification sections regarding vertical support post termination height, confirming that posts shall be cut at 90 inches above finished grade (not the 72 inches stated in the selective demolition section). Second, it clarifies that the northern loop of the shade structure trail will be entirely closed to public access during the entire period of performance, with no site access permitted except for the contractor. The solicitation (140P8526Q0054) is a small business set-aside RFQ with a $19.0 million size standard under NAICS code 238910, with an estimated construction magnitude between $25,000 and $100,000. The Department of the Interior National Park Service is requesting quotes for complete demolition services including mobilization, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, site rehabilitation, cleanup, and demobilization. Proposals were due by 12:00 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time on June 18, 2026, with submission via email only to brian_roppolo@nps.gov. This amendment was posted to www.SAM.gov to provide answers to questions submitted by the June 4, 2026 deadline.
