About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers amendment (Amd 0001) for RFQ 140P8525Q0032 for Vault Toilet and Septic Tank Pumping at Yosemite National Park. The amendment addresses five key clarifications from potential contractors, including details about waste disposal at the Yosemite Creek Lift Station (YCLS), vehicle storage limitations, disposal hours and availability, a map labeling correction, and a pricing schedule adjustment. Specifically, the document confirms there are no dump fees for the contract, provides guidance on vehicle parking (recommending parking outside the park boundary), specifies YCLS disposal hours (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 0700-1530, with no dumping on Thursdays), corrects a map labeling error for May Lake, and revises the price schedule to accurately reflect 34 total pumps over 17 weeks (2 times per week).

VAULT TOILET AND SEPTIC TANK PUMPING
Yosemite National Park Questions and Answers – Amd 0001
The following are questions and answers received during the RFQ:
1. In reference to the Statement of Work, section 4.1, “Contractor may take waste to the Yosemite
Creek Lift Station (YCLS) and dispose of sewage collected solely from NPS owned structures,” since the station is located in the park, will there be no dump fees?
a. Answer: No dump fees for this contract.
2. Will the contractor be able to leave a new truck with aluminum tank on site for the 17 week period?
a. Answer: There is not a designated location to park or store the contractor’s vehicle and space may be limited. However, if a location is identified, the contractor will need to seek approval from the Contracting Officer’s Representative before proceeding. If approval is given, the government will not be responsible for any damages or theft that may occur to the contractor’s equipment. An alternative would be to park/leave vehicle outside Yosemite National Park Boundary.
3. Is the YCLS open on Friday, July 4, 2025, or will it be closed? The week of July 1st through July 4th, will the facility be closed Thursday and Friday?
a. Answer: Contractor may dispose at YCLS during the week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday only, between the hours of 0700-1530. Dumping will not be available on Thursdays.
4. The map states #11 in two different locations, calling it May Lake. Are there two different locations for May Lake?
a. Answer: There are not 2 locations for May Lake. The Number #11 labeled in the Tuolumne Meadows area around #3,4,18, etc. is a mistake.
5. The Price Schedule is reflecting pumping at 2 times per week for 17 weeks totaling 32 pumps.
Should that be 34 pumps (17 x 2 = 34)?
a. Answer: Yes. The Price Schedule has been revised to recalculate each location. See “Atch 01_Quote Price Schedule_Rev.01” for the revised document.
