About this file
This document contains an amendment to a solicitation and related federal contract opportunity for the supply and delivery of certified weed-free alfalfa hay to Yosemite National Park. The amendment provides additional questions and answers regarding delivery requirements, including that hay bales must be unloaded by the delivery company and cannot exceed 150 pounds, and that delivery dates are negotiable between the first and third of each month from May to October 2024. The related federal contract opportunity seeks a firm-fixed price contract for the monthly supply and delivery of alfalfa hay to two park locations, with quotes due by February 12, 2024. The requirement is set aside for small businesses with average annual receipts of $2.5 million or less.

Additional Questions and Answers Supply and Delivery of Certified Weed-Free Alfalfa Hay
Yosemite National Park
1. Will we be required to unload the delivery and if so, would you have a squeeze available?
Answer: Yes, hay bales must be unloaded upon delivery. The government does not have a squeeze, the hay delivery companies have always brought their own squeeze.
2. Could large bales be an option, if small are not available?
Answer: The bales can not exceed 150 lbs. as stated in the specifications.
3. Are the delivery dates negotiable?
Answer: The delivery dates are not negotiable. The government requires delivery once a month at the same time of the month, (the first of the month), so that we don’t run out. If the contractor would like to deliver, for example, on the 3rd of every month instead of the first, that may be negotiable.
