About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation No. 140P8426Q0026 regarding restriping services at Lava Beds National Monument (LABE), dated August 28, 2026.
The document addresses three clarification questions pertaining to the scope of striping work. Black paint is to be used only for covering previous mistakes and cleanup, not for filling between double yellow lines. The centerline markings will consist of a combination of single and double lines rather than exclusively double yellow or dotted lines. The contractor is required to stripe 221 regular parking spaces and 18 ADA-designated spaces distributed across 15 separate parking lots within the monument, replacing the previous configuration of 41 spaces and 1 ADA space in the Admin area.
