STATEMENT OF WORK
CHANNEL ISLANDS NATIONAL PARK
JANITORIAL SERVICE
Revised July 28, 2025
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
A. This Section includes the following:
1. Work covered by the Contract Documents.
2. Government Furnished Materials.
3. Use of premises.
4. Work Restrictions.
1.2 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
A. Channel Islands National Park, Ventura CA. Work covered in the contract includes the general cleaning and housekeeping of the Visitor’s Center and headquarters Administrative Offices located at 1901 Spinnaker Drive Ventura CA 93001.The Work consists of the following:
1. Clean and sanitize the Visitor’s Center men’s and women’s restrooms. Work includes mirrors, sinks, toilets, urinals, trash cans, floors, and walls. Daily.
2. Sweep and mop the Visitor’s Center exhibit area and bookstore areas. Empty trash. Daily.
3. Inspect and empty, if required, six (6) exterior trash and recycle containers. Daily.
4. Vacuum Visitor Center Theatre. Daily.
5. Vacuum all carpeted accessible areas in the first and second floor administrative office.
Once a week.
6. Clean and sanitize five (5) restrooms’, three on first floor and two (2) on second floor. This includes trash, sinks, mirrors, floor, and countertops. Once a week.
7. Clean and sanitize kitchen/Lounge area. This includes trash, floor, tables, and countertops.
Once a week.
8. Empty office/cubicle trash and recycle cans. Once a week.
1.4 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED MATERIALS
A. Government will furnish the following.
1. Government will provide required access to all contract areas. Includes keys and access codes.
2. The Government will provide consumable products for this contract to include can liners, toilet paper, paper towels, seat lines, urinal screens, hand soap/sanitizer, and feminine product bag liners.

If Government-furnished items are damaged because of Contractor's operations, Contractor shall repair or replace them at the government’s discretion.
CONTRACTOR USE OF SITE
B. General: Contractor shall have limited use of the site for operations. Limit use of premises to work areas indicated. Do not disturb portions of site that are restricted or inaccessible.
1. Limits: Confine operations to identified areas.
2. All assigned personnel will have a background check performed prior to building access.
1.5 WORK RESTRICTIONS
A. On-Site Work Hours: Work shall be generally performed before or after public business hours.
Public business hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Seven days a week.
1. Holiday Hours: All Federal Holidays are included in the hours in paragraph B.1.5A.
Offices are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas day only.
B. Nonsmoking Building: Smoking is not permitted outside the designated areas.
