SOLICITATION NO. 140P8420Q0042

ATT FENCING PHASE II

POINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE

MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

SITE VISIT – JULY 17, 2020

SITE VISIT SUMMARY SUMMARY:

A site visit was conducted on July 17, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. Participants met at AT&T Historic Radio Facility within Point Reyes National Seashore. A general project overview was provided, then participants drove out generally along the proposed access route and walked the entire fence alignment. Upon walking the site it was clear the proposed amount of brushcutting would need to be increased due to one of the areas having become much more overgrown since the fencing alignment was last refined, and well as other minor changes. These changes are reflected in the revised Contract Bid Schedule and Specifications provided with Amendment 0001.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS RECEIVED TO DATE:

Q1: Who is responsible for the required frog surveys?

A1: The NPS will be contracting for the frog surveys, not the Contractor. This is stated in the Specifications. The NPS will flag the route, provide the frog monitor, provide other biological monitoring (wetlands, rare plants), and inspect the project for compliance with the

Specifications.

Q2: Will there routinely be traffic delays in getting out to the project site?

A2: It is possible that there will be construction delays in September and October due to the FHWA project. FHWA has changed their schedule and is moving ahead with Schooner Creek portion of their project now.

Q3: Is attendance at the Site Visit mandatory?

A3: While not mandatory, offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. The FAR clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation.
