About this file
This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) amendment related to Request for Quote (RFQ) #140P8124Q0070 for Potable Water Tank Cleaning services at Death Valley National Park. The RFQ requires the contractor to be responsible for the removal and disposal of all materials or sediment collected to an NPS-approved location. The Q&A clarifies that the contractor will be able to dump materials and sediment in the Cow Creek roll-off dumpster at the Cow Creek mixing table, rather than having to collect and dispose of it elsewhere. This amendment provides additional details on the disposal requirements for the potable water tank cleaning services being solicited under this RFQ.

RFQ # 140P8124Q0070 Potable Water Tank Cleaning Amendment #1: 8-5-24
Question: The SOW states “Contractor shall be responsible for all removal and disposal of all materials or sediment collected to an NPS-approved location.” In the Tank Summary, WST 5 and WST 6 have “Discharge water and sediment to be surface discharged as directed on-site”. Will local discharge of sediment be permitted at all locations? Or, only those specifically mentioned in the tank summary with all others requiring some form of sediment collection?
Answer: The contractor will be able to dump materials and sediment in the Cow Creek roll-off dumpster at the Cow Creek mixing table.
