140P8122Q0045 Questions and Answers

6/10/2022

1) If it's found that a faucet or toilet is bad during installation; would we do a change order to replace the bad faucet or toilet?

• Whether the faucets are good or bad, this project is already replacing all the faucets at each restroom. We will not mod the contract to replace the bad SINKS and toilets/urinals. The bad sinks and toilets/urinals will be replaced by others at a later date. If able, the contractor will replace the faucets and valves at the bad sinks and toilets/urinals. The contractor will notify the COR of the situation.

2) When changing out the sink faucets, do we need to include a price for supply lines and angle stops under the sink? If not, what happens if they are bad and need replacing?

• Include a price for supply lines and angle stops under the sink.

3) Who is responsible to turn water off to the building to replace the fixture? If the contractor is responsible, what happens if that valve to turn the water off is bad and cannot turn water off?

• The contractor is responsible for turning off/on the water to the restrooms to replace the fixtures. If the valves to turn of the water are bad and cannot turn off the water, the contractor will continue to the next restroom and will call the COR to advise of the situation.

4) Can we get an inspection by the COR and signed off once we install the new product and verify it is working correctly? If an inspection cannot be done immediately will the building be closed until an inspection is done?

• The COR or another Government representative will make every effort to be available to inspect the days work because the restrooms will not be closed until an inspection is done. Ideally, no restroom will be left partially completed during the weekend. In another word, all sinks and toilets/urinals will be operational each weekend.

5) All parts being installed have a manufacturer warranty, do you have a specified workmanship warranty?

• The workmanship warranty is one (1) year from acceptance.

6) Is there an installation schedule, or order in which the work must be completed?

• There is not an installation schedule or an order in which the work must be completed. However, the contractor will submit a project schedule after contract award for COR approval.
