Solicitation 140P8121Q0024 – Amendment No. 01
LAKE – Supply and Replace HVAC Units at Wastewater Facilities
Q1. Are copper and duct replacement included in the scope of work?
A1. No with the exception of any copper or ducting between the units and the outside of the buildings that would have to be replaced to allow for the units to be compatible with ducting and copper found in the buildings. As well as any Copper or ducting related to the air handling unit portion of the 7.5 ton Split units at Callville Bay and Echo bay that would have to be replaced to allow replacement units to be compatible with the existing ducting and air supply system.
Q2 What are the bonding requirements?
A2. Bonds are not required for this project.
Q3. What is the estimated budget for this project?
A3. This is not a construction project per FAR Part 36 in which the disclosure of magnitude is provided. This is a supply and installation per FAR Part 13.
Q4. Does it have any specific subcontractor requirements?
A4. This is a small business set-aside under the simplified acquisition threshold and therefore is not subject to the limitations on subcontracting clause.
Q5. Can you please provide the following data tags for Echo Bay, a picture of the data tag of the inside air handling unit we would be replacing. With dimensions if you have them.
For Callville bay, please provide a picture of the data tag of the window unit.
A5 Although both systems are identical photos with measurements for reference are attached for both locations.

Q6. Could you provide the specific addresses or parcel numbers with the respective counties for the three locations?
A6. The Locations don’t have reasonable addresses but the approximate addresses and GPS locations are found bellow;

Q7. Do the condenser coils require any special coating due to their proximity to the water treatment plants?
A7. No
Q8. Part 3: Additional Information refers to "controls" - do these sites have automated building controls, or does this refer to thermostats?
A8. Controls are the thermostats there are no automated building controls. The existing controls may be reused if they are compatible with the proposed system replacements but must be replaced if they are not compatible with the proposed systems.
Q9. Where are the mini split indoor units mounted? There were no pictures provided. Are the high wall mounted, low wall mounted, or ceiling mounted.
A9. The Mini Split indoor units are all high wall mounted on the building wall which is cinderblock.
Q10. The period of performance seems to be unusually long, is there a reason?
A10. The 180 day PP will provide for the logistical challenges associated with the 3 work locations being so greatly dispersed throughout the park. As well as the anticipated delays in shipping of equipment or lead times due to Covid-19 related supply issues.
