Each pallet contains 50 bundles with 12.5 squares per pallet. Ridge units must be prefabricated lapped single ply units of matching quality and thickness compatible with the quoted cedar shingles. Award will be made as one lot. Delivery must occur within 120 days after the award effective date to Chickasaw National Recreation Area Maintenance Yard, 134 Bison Road, Sulphur, Oklahoma 73086. Delivery is FOB Destination between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, with one working day advance notification required. The maintenance yard can accommodate semi-trailers and has forklift availability for offloading.

Specifications: Cedar Shingles

Description:

Chickasaw National Recreation Area is requesting Bids for Purchase of:

• 20 pallets of 18” Blue Label # 1 Pressure Treated with Fire Retardant Red Cedar shingles.

• 15 bundles of Red Cedar Shingle Ridge Units.

Cedar Shingle Specifications:

• 20 pallets (50 bundles per pallet).

o 12.5 squares per pallet.

• Must be Western Red Cedar Shingles (Thuja plicata).

• Standard Blue Label # 1 Grade.

• Pressure Treated with Fire Retardant Class A Rating.

o Class B fire treated shingles are acceptable if the completed roofing assembly achieves a Class A fire rating when installed in accordance with the manufacturer's published installation instructions.

• Must be classified as 18” “Perfection” shingles.

• Minimum Length 18”.

• 100% Edge Grain.

• 100% Clear, No defects.

• No Flat Grain.

• Max Roof Exposure 5.5”.

• Shingle width (nominal) 4” to 14”.

• Butt Thickness (nominal) .45”.

Cedar Shingle Ridge Specifications:

• Supply 15 bundles Cedar Shingle Ridge Units: Prefabricated lapped single ply units of matching quality and thickness.

• Must be compatible with quoted Cedar Shingles.

Delivery Requirements:

Chickasaw National Recreation Area Maintenance Yard 134 Bison Road Sulphur, OK. 73086

Delivery Requirements:

• FOB Destination.

• Delivery hours 8AM to 3PM Monday thru Friday (with the exception of Federal holidays).

• Notification must be provided 1 working day in advance so park staff can be available.

• If enclosed trailer is used the delivery truck must have a pallet jack on board.

• Maintenance Yard is large enough to accommodate semi-trailer.

• Forklift available for offloading at delivery location.

Applicable Performance Standards:

• Award to be made as ONE LOT.

Period of Performance:

• Delivery must occur within 120 days after Award effective date.
