About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers amendment (P0001) for Solicitation #140P6425B0012, titled "Stabilize Blackstone House – HOCU". The solicitation covers a restoration and stabilization project for a historic structure, with specific details addressing construction requirements. Key clarifications include prevailing wage rates being applicable, lead paint considerations, roof replacement with 50-year asphalt shingles for the main house and steel roofing for outbuildings, brick and mortar joint repairs, and specific site access and ground protection parameters. The project is a targeted stabilization effort addressing priority structural deficiencies, not a comprehensive rehabilitation, with explicit instructions on limited scope tasks such as exterior door treatments, roof decking replacement, and site access restrictions.

Based on this directive, the contractor is expected to use reasonable judgement for conversion to LF.
7. Is there a preferred method to protecting the ground when tear off is happening?
Method for protecting access is state on Site Plan (G002) as 2 layers of ¾ Plywood which is also required in areas where scaffolding will be erected. Contractor is responsible for ensuring activities do not gouge or disturb grade.
