Stanford Road Parking Lot Project – CUVA

Questions and Answers listed below:

QUESTIONS:

Question # Question Answer/Response

1. Can you clarify that the bid item for Site Mechanical

Utilities is to be utilized for the storm sewer/drainage work? I cannot locate any information about what else this item is for.

The term ‘Site Mechanical’ in this project is in reference to storm piping and structures. No sanitary nor water infrastructure within the scope.

2. It is unclear if the contractor is responsible for replacing any soil not deemed satisfactory?

The Contractor shall be responsible for replacing unacceptable soil material. Additionally, from Question 1 response within previous addendum: As potential for borrow soils due to wetland proximities is an unknown condition, there is no estimated quantity of borrow soil material to be provided as response to the question. For replacement soil material, reference Earth Moving Specification Section 312000, part

1.4 A. for the two ASTM testing and

Clean Fill Protocol for what constitutes acceptable soil material.

3. I don’t see where it states the project is a balanced site?

Cut and fill quantities have not been provided and at the determination by the Contractor in formulating their bid. Determination of ability to balance the site with earthwork or require haul off or import soil to be the estimation of the contractor (not including unforeseen unacceptable soil on site condition responded to in question 2 above).

4. Nor do I see where we can lose any cut material?

Is it possible to provide a line item for borrow material if needed?

Cut and fill estimations and intent to haul off or import soil to be inclusive within the submitted base scope of services bid. Borrow material in the case of unsuitable soils per Specification 312000 addressed in question 2 above.
