Chamizal National Memorial-Reupholster Theater Seats Solicitation # 140P6324Q0043

Question 1: Would the Government allow replacing the foam and reupholstery on site? Would the Government allow replacing and reupholstery off site such as removing/disassembling 100 seats and transporting them back and forth?

Reference: 4.1 Detailed Project Description in SOW

Government Response:

Per the specifications, work can be accomplished on site, the National Park Service will provide a space for the contractor to conduct the service. The space must be returned to its original state and the floor must be protected by ram board.

Per the specifications, If the Contractor chooses to work offsite. The Contractor is responsible for taking seats out and shipping them to the work site. The park service will not be responsible for removing seats and shipping the seats to the work site. Work can be done on park grounds. AC power is available to the contractor. If the seats do need to be removed and shipped off site, the contractor is responsible for the logistics and removal. The space must be returned to its original state.

Question 2: Can the Government confirm that if the seats standards are left in place and anchored into the floor can the existing foam and fabric pieces be removed to reupholster/replace the fabric and foam?

Government Response:

The Government will allow the removal of the existing foam and fabric pieces to be removed to reupholster/replace the fabric and foam. Please note that the seat will have to be unattached. The top and arm rest are together. Some of the seats are attached together. There is no uniform anchoring it depends on seat.

Question 3: Can the Government provide theater seat dimensions?

Government Response:

The top part of the seat:

length 21 inches width 21 inches foam depth is 1 inch thick.

The bottom part of the seat length 24 inches width 24 inches foam depth is 4 inches thick.
