Minuteman Missile Delta-01 HVAC Replacement

Site Visit Questions & Answers Amendment 0001

1. Will the fan coil units be connected to the BMS system? If so, what would be the sequence of operation?

Government Answer: Yes. Information in Specifications 23 09 23, Part 1, 1.1, C. System shall use the BACnet protocol for communication to the operator workstation or web server and for communication between control modules. I/O points, schedules, setpoints, trends and alarms specified in 23 09 93 – “Sequence of Operations for HVAC Controls” shall be BACnet objects.

2. Will the new fan coil units use the existing thermostats, or will the thermostats be upgraded?

Government Answer: See Page (4) of drawings. HVAC KEY NOTE (6) and (17)

3. Can we run new conduit in areas that have a sheet rock ceiling for controls?

Government Answer: Yes, as long as the new conduit is matched to the current colors of the exiting conduit and it must be of the same material as the exiting conduit.

4. With the BMS, a network connection will be needed, is there networking in the building?

Government Answer: Yes, there is an WiFi connection in the building, with a router for hard wiring.

5. Will the unit heaters be connected to the BMS?

Government Answer: Yes
