About this file
This document is a Clarifications to Scope of Work for Virgin Islands National Park janitorial services contract 140P5426Q0033, dated August 31, 2026.
The contractor must perform janitorial services at four facilities totaling approximately 12,900 square feet: the Visitor Center (~6,300 sqft), Visitor Center Restrooms (~1,000 sqft), Maintenance Facility (~1,000 sqft), and Resource Management & Science Facility (~4,600 sqft). Work hours are 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM local time, with public restrooms authorized for after-hours work with Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) approval and key issuance. An onsite supervisor is required and may perform work. Cleaning tasks include sweeping, scrubbing toilet bowls, wiping windowsills (indoor), cleaning handrails at the Visitor Center weekly, emptying interior trash cans and sanitary napkin receptacles, and removing any interior trash from cleaning areas. The government will provide toilet bowl cleaner and disinfection liquid but will not furnish equipment, tools, or personal protective equipment. The contractor must provide all transportation between the three distinct sites, with a noted 200-foot elevation gain between North Shore Road and the Resource Management & Science Building. The contractor is responsible for locking facilities after work completion; failure to do so results in loss of key access. The contractor shall perform regular quality control inspections and notify the COR immediately if government-furnished supplies are ineffective, providing alternative product recommendations. Record drawings are provided for the Visitor Center and RMS Facility; record drawings for the Maintenance Facility and Visitor Center Restrooms have not yet been provided.
