About this file

This is a Fire Alarm System Inspection Report documenting an annual inspection performed on the fire alarm system at the Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve - Quarters building located at 12713 Ft Caroline Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32225. The inspection was conducted by Marquis Thomas (Inspector License EF0001081) of Johnson Controls North America between May 21-22, 2025, under Work Order 58885638. The inspection covered eight total fire alarm devices: one Fire-Lite control panel, one battery (set of two 12v 12ah units), one heat detector, and five smoke detectors. All devices passed inspection with no deficiencies identified. Specific devices tested include a panel located in a closet, batteries rated at 12 amp hours with 100 percent load voltage, smoke detectors positioned above the control panel and in bedrooms 1-3 and hallway, and a heat detector in the kitchen.

The inspection verified all standard fire alarm system functions including alarm and supervisory signal inputs, circuit supervision for opens and shorts, alarm verification sequences, power supply supervision, fuse and LED testing, interface equipment verification, main power supply testing under full load, amplifier and tone generator verification, and call-in signal silence testing. The maintenance contact is Morgan Baird (morgan_baird@nps.gov, 904-805-7444). The report includes standard Johnson Controls terms and conditions addressing limitation of liability, warranty disclaimers (90-day workmanship warranty), indemnification, hazardous materials disclosure, and general service conditions. No device deficiencies or recommended corrective actions were documented.
