About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document from a federal solicitation for steel handrails installation services. The document addresses a clarification question regarding the total linear footage of handrail required under solicitation number 140P5326R0025, issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service Southeast Region. The contractor asked for confirmation of the total linear footage, as solicitation materials contained conflicting references to approximately 190 linear feet versus 207 linear feet. The government response clarifies that contractors should use 207 linear feet as the basis for pricing purposes. The government further indicated that no separate drawings or quantity schedules control the final total, and that handrails are to be installed at stairs in multiple locations throughout the project.

CUGA – STEEL HANDRAILS

1. Could you please confirm the total linear footage of handrail included in the complete contract scope? The solicitation materials appear to reference approximately 190 LF in the location breakdown, while another solicitation summary references 207 LF, and we want to make sure our pricing covers the full required quantity.

Use the 207 LF for pricing.

2. If there is a drawing or quantity schedule that controls the final total, please point us to that document as well.

No drawings for this. Handrails are at stairs in multiple locations.
