About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 140P5326Q0027, a custodial services contract for Great Smoky Mountains National Park under the Department of the Interior National Park Service Southeast Region. The document addresses nine clarification questions from potential offerors regarding contract scope and operational requirements.

Key clarifications provided include: background check restrictions apply in all situations including emergencies; exterior building surfaces and sidewalks each measure approximately 15,000 square feet; contractors must provide their own water truck or mobile water tank for pressure washing activities; buffing, stripping, and waxing services are estimated at twice annually frequency; the distance from the central supply location to Sugarlands Visitor Center is 3.3 miles (approximately 8 minutes); no historical wildlife waste cleanup requirements are documented; specialized graffiti removal work beyond standard janitorial scope is handled through separate work orders; contractors are responsible for procuring NOVUS cleaning product for exhibit glass as specified in Section 3.2.16; and quarterly exterior pressure washing excludes roof structures, limited to walls, entrances, and sidewalks. This Q&A document was issued as part of an amendment extending the solicitation due date to allow offerors to review the clarifications.

QUESTIONS

Yes

2. Section 3.2.18 requires quarterly soft pressure washing of the exterior building surfaces and sidewalks. Could the Government provide the approximate square footage of:

1. Exterior building surfaces; and 15,000 sqft

2. Sidewalks at each location included in the scope?- 15,000sqft

3. Is a sufficient water source/spigot available at each facility for pressure washing activities, or should the contractor anticipate providing a water truck or mobile water tank?

Water truck or mobile tank would be needed

4. For office and employee workspace areas, "Buffing, Stripping, and Waxing" services are identified as "As Needed." To ensure consistent pricing among offerors, could the Government provide an estimated minimum frequency (e.g., once annually, twice annually, etc.) for these services?

Twice annually
