About this file

This document is an Amendment 1 Questions and Answers file for Solicitation 140P5325Q0022, addressing a National Park Service contract for ORV Ramp Sand and Clay delivery. The document contains two specific contractor questions and corresponding government responses: 1) Regarding temporary sand storage and transfer logistics (the Park confirmed no suitable stockpile location exists, and transfer must be managed by the contractor), and 2) Clarifying that sand grading is not included in the pricing or scope of work. The responses provide additional operational context for potential vendors preparing their quotes for this small business set-aside contract for delivering sand and clay materials to Off Road Vehicle ramps on Ocracoke Island, NC.

Questions and Answers

Amendment 1

1. Question: We would be delivering the sand via tractor trailer (18 wheelers) is there a location that we could temporary store the sand than reload onto off road dump trucks for delivery at the ramp?

Answer: The Park does not have a suitable location to be able to dump/stockpile sand to transfer to smaller dump trucks. That would have to be worked out by the contractor.

2. Question: Is there any grading of the sand to be included in pricing?

Answer: Grading is not included for the delivered materials as part of this scope of work.
