QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

How many stations are on locations?

· We have between one and five officers on a given shift. All work out of our ranger station in Bartlett Park. We operate on one radio frequency.

What’s the daily average transactions handled by the dispatchers?

· Calls for service are busier during the spring, summer, and fall. Average 6 per shift. Can include law enforcement, fire, EMS, or SAR response. Rangers average about five traffic stops per day on a busy shift.

What’s the security level required for dispatchers?

· All dispatchers must have access to NCIC systems and databases. The dispatch center and dispatchers must abide by all CJIS policies and regulations for physical/ IT security.
