Replace outdated alarm systems at Rath Curatorial Storage and VAMA Coach House:
Statement of Work:
This project consists of installing a new intrusion detection system in the Vanderbilt Coach House, installing an intrusion detection system and a fire alarm system in the Rath Curatorial Storage Building and connecting the new systems in each location with existing telecom connections. Option 01 details the replacement of the outdated fire alarm system in the VAMA Coach House in addition to the work listed above.
a. Provide new Intrusion Detection Systems including all necessary or required devices and components.
b. Provide new Fire Detection Systems including all necessary or required devices and components.
c. Remove the existing Intrusion Detections Systems once new systems are functional
d. Remove the existing Fire Detections Systems once new systems are functional.
e. Test each device in the new systems
f. Address deficiencies discovered during testing
g. Retest systems, or portions of systems, found deficient is a previous test
h. Repeat testing until none the system have deficiencies
i. Ensure addressability of new systems and that addressable devices are correctly configured and identified.
j. Establish or validate required telecommunication connection to off-site monitoring.
The Work of the Project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and supervision as required for the Project by the Project Documents; as required by applicable codes and regulations; as required by site conditions; as required by the systems manufacturer’s requirements and recommendations; and as required to provide completely operable and operating systems.
Work shall be completed as required by all applicable prevailing codes, including but not limited to the International Building Code, latest edition including all state and local amendments and other codes, as applicable.
The Contractor shall perform the work in a manner as to minimize interference with the operation of the facility. The Contractor shall provide a Method-of-Procedure (MOP), for each building that clearly explains the method(s) proposed to implement the work within the limits of the Contract.
