About this file

This document is an Amendment (0003) to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for demolishing the Tom's Cove Visitor Center at Assateague Island National Seashore. The amendment includes responses to four pre-bid questions and a sign-in sheet from an organized pre-bid site visit. Key details include confirmation that no as-built drawings exist for the structure, foundation pile depths are unknown from its early 1990s construction, and the National Park Service will remove loose furniture and displays prior to demolition.

The solicitation (Number 140P4325R0005) is for a construction project with an estimated value between $500,000 and $1,000,000, issued by the National Park Service's Northeast Region. The contract period of performance is scheduled from 06/11/2025 to 03/31/2026. The sign-in sheet indicates multiple potential bidders from various construction and demolition companies attended the pre-bid site visit, suggesting competitive interest in the project.
