CACO High-Speed Internet Services
Q&As 9/14/2022
Q. The term High-Speed Internet can mean many things...for example, someone can say here is my high-speed coaxial cable connection and they may say it will deliver 100mbps download vs /15mbps upload. but they will have a challenge delivering that consistently. We could provide 100% percent fiber, dedicated and symmetrical......which means it never varies, never slows down...always is symmetrical. Is that what you’re looking for?
A. The Government has not specified the type of cable to install and has left it is up to the contractor to propose the best means and methods to provide the required cabling to meet the SOW and LPTA RFQ requirements, whether that be coaxial, fiber, etc. As long as the technical specifications of 50 mbps up/down with the option for increased speed is met per the SOW (page 2), the Government has no preference or requirement for the type of cable installed.
