About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 140P4226Q0058, addressing contractor inquiries regarding orchard spraying services at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site under the Department of the Interior National Park Service Northeast Region.
The Q&A clarifies key operational requirements for the spraying contract. Contractors are permitted to conduct site visits independently using provided maps prior to quote submission. Contractors are expected to serve as subject matter experts and monitor the orchard to determine appropriate timing for each spraying application. Each application must be completed between 5:00-9:00 a.m. and should not exceed one to two hours per application. The specified spraying products listed in the solicitation are required; any substitutes must receive prior approval from park supervision. Debris removal is mandatory before every application, not merely on an as-needed basis.
