140P4222Q0081 – Alarm Monitoring at George Washington Birthplace National Monument and Thomas Stone National Historic Site
Q&A
1. The SOW does not call out inspection of the sprinkler system to be including in the quote, however an inspection report was provided for the sprinkler system. Inspection reports were provided per request of contractors. This contract is solely for the monitoring of the intrusion and fire alarm panels and updating the cellular communicators/fire panels as stated in the SOW.
a. Please confirm if the sprinkler system inspection is to be included. No sprinkler inspection is to be included.
b. Please confirm if the Fire Pump inspection is to be included. No fire pump inspection is to be included.
c. Please confirm if the backflow preventer inspection is to be included. No backflow inspection is to be included.
2. Please confirm if all inspections are due at the same time. If they are not, please identify when each system is due for its next inspection (initial inspection for successful offeror). Not applicable. There are no inspections as we already have a contractor that inspects and maintains our fire suppression systems.
3. Because taking over monitoring services requires material procurement, programming, and a site visit, it is crucial to know when the actual period of performance for the monitoring is to begin. This will prevent a lapse in monitoring services.
a. Please confirm when the current monitoring contract expires, and when the successful offeror shall cutover monitoring services.
There is no expiration date for the current monitoring contract. It is a month-to-month basis and would only require coordination with them of a reasonable time frame to switch services.
