PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of the construction of a soldier pile wall on a slope to the north of the Texas Monument and Railroad Redoubt Earthworks in the Vicksburg National Military Park in
Vicksburg, MS. The bluff line is currently located between 15 and 17 feet from the historic fortification and memorial. At the base of this slope is an active rail line owned and operated by Kansas City Southern Railway.

The work includes construction of approximately 284 linear feet (LF) of soldier pile wall (this total LF includes the base and the two (2) options). Some of construction activities include minor grading at the crest of the slope and mass final grading at toe of wall and swale at crest, removal of trees and vegetation, drilling and installation of soldier piles with crane, earthwork that includes cut of tiers on downslope side of the future wall, installation of tie-back anchors and precast concrete panels.
