1. Will the project require full time SSHO and QCM on site for the duration?
Safety and QC roles can be managed by electricians on site.
2. If required can this be a Dual Hat to save on costs?
Yes, electricians on site can serve in more than one role.
3. My understanding is this area is closed during the winter, so the areas will not be occupied with general public? Just NP employees and the Facilities Operations/Maintenance Contractor?
The area is open to visitation, however the facilities are closed to the public during this proposed work period. NPS staff and employees of Forever Resorts, park concessionaire, will also be present. All the fixtures being installed are located on facilities managed by Forever Resorts.
4. What is the anticipated date of the Pre-Installation meeting?
The pre-installation meeting will take place 7-10 days before work begins.
5. Is this meeting onsite and in person or by phone?
This can be done over the phone
6. Is the Waste Management/Safety/Quality control plan submissions mandatory?
Yes, but these do not need to be lengthy. Please submit a brief narrative as to how these concerns will be addressed.
7. As we are looking at this requirement we see around 100 lights systems to be installed. The bid calls out for only 60. Please clarify the requirement.
Answer: A total of 90 fixtures/assemblies is required to be installed. Please see the following breakdown of fixture type, description and quantity. The number 60 refers to the number of buildings associated with the project. Some buildings will have more than one fixture installed.

8. What does the “CON” refer to in the “Install Effort” column?
Please disregard the ‘install effort’ column. We had other categories for NPS installed fixtures, which have been removed from this spreadsheet. CON is an abbreviation for Contractor.
9. Do you have a schedule or more information on all the different Bulb Types referenced in the spreadsheet?
These bulbs will be provided to the contractor. The types are as follows:
Type Size Lumens Watts CCT Base Glass Finish Manufacturer Part Number
2 A-15 450 4.5 2700K E26 Frosted Archipelago LTA15F50027MB 6 S14 100 1 2400K E26 Frosted Archipelago LTS14F10024K1 8 BR30 650 9 2700K E26 Frosted Sylvania 73954
10. Is there a site plan available showing locations of all these cabins & locations?
Pages 9 & 10 of Attachment 1, Statement of Work have map locations and addresses for all fixtures;
Attachment 2, Fixture Type and Location includes the address for each of the fixtures –
Attachment 1 maps and Attachment 2 spreadsheet should be used together.
11. I was wondering if it was possible to get an exact number of each fixture being installed. I see that there was a cut sheet on each type and the photos of the types. But to provide the best and most accurate quote for the work being completed, an exact number of each would be helpful.
Answer: Fixture types and quantities are listed below.

12. Page 6 of the solicitation, 3.4, Quality Control calls for “The Contractor's designated Quality Control Supervisor shall be on the project site whenever contract work is in progress”. Is it required to designate a QC person available onsite with no rolls other than quality control?
Answer: No, the designated QC Supervisor can serve more than one role.
13. Can you please confirm if all the existing light fixtures are currently operational?
Answer: We believe they are all operational. 2 lights that may not be are the pole lights at the gas station. If there is a break in the power to these pole lights, fixing that issue will be the responsibility of NPS.
14. Does NPS anticipate any electrical wiring issues that may result in trouble shooting or rewiring of circuitry?
Answer: No.
15. Quality Control: Is the quality control representative required to be a separate identity or can the assigned QC be one of the installing electricians?
Answer: The assigned QC can be one of the installing electricians.
16. Is it required that a full time superintended be designated to this project? If so, is this person allowed to be one of the working electricians or is a full-time superintendent dedicated to supervise only?
Answer: The full time superintendent can also be one of the working electricians.
17. Shall a portable toilet be included in the proposal or can the workers use restrooms located in the lodging area or park facilities?
The workers can use public restrooms located in park facilities.
18. The wage determination attached to the solicitation is for service contract. Shouldn’t it be AZ20210030 09/03/2021 for Coconino County and construction type “Building”?
No. This work will be performed under a service contract. The wage determination is correct.
