About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 140P1426Q0018, an armored car service contract for Yellowstone National Park. The document addresses two key inquiries from potential contractors regarding the scope of work and service locations.

The first Q&A clarifies that the Scope of Work does not mandate a specific security approach, permitting contractors to propose either armored vehicles, armed security personnel, or a combination of both. Contractors retain responsibility for determining the appropriate security level and associated liability while ensuring the solution meets the overall intent of the requirement. The second Q&A confirms that the North Entrance pickup location was intentionally removed from the solicitation, with park staff assuming responsibility for transporting funds from that location going forward. The only National Park Service pickup location in the Mammoth area is Central Fees. These clarifications provide contractors with flexibility in their approach while establishing explicit geographic boundaries for the required service.
