Statement of Work

Glacier National Park - Fire Extinguisher Inspections and Maintenance

Requirement Description

The provider is responsible for conducting a one-time inspection and servicing of fire extinguishers located in Glacier National Park per NPFA 10, all sections. Quantities are noted in the Price Worksheet.

All devices and components shall be inspected, tested and maintained in accordance with this statement of work.

To Include:

• On-site performance of inspections including annual, six year and hydrostatic as indicated by quantity on the price worksheet.

• Performance: These tasks shall be performed by personnel who have developed competence through training and experience and have been licensed or certified for performing fire extinguisher inspections.

• The provider will provide the Park point of contact (provided upon award) a list of all fire extinguishers that do not pass inspection prior to conducting any service on those fire extinguishers and an updated inventory of all extinguishers and their location within the park. Additionally, the provider will provide an itemized list of expenses that are required for fire extinguishers that require service.

• Any additional services not identified in this statement of work must be approved in advance by both the park representative and the Contracting Officer. Services performed without prior approval by both Park representative and Contracting Officer are subject to nonpayment.

•Vendor will generate an inventory to reflect most current information of condition, location, size, type, brand, manufacturer, and inspection frequency of the extinguishers.

• Glacier National Park will be responsible for providing information needed for the completion of servicing and testing and will provide access to all areas where fire extinguishers are located.

• At the conclusion of services, the vendor will provide an updated inventory to the Glacier Safety and Occupational Health Office. Invoices will not be approved until this inventory report is received by Glacier National Park. Payment will be made via invoice submission through IPP.gov after inspections and servicing is completed. A review of services will be performed park point of contact.

•Service Locations:

See attached Inventory List for details. Inventory List is for informational purposes only. Work performed on this contract will not exceed quantities awarded. Vendor is not expected to inspect or service beyond what is awarded on the purchase order.

Numerous vehicles throughout Vehicles will be in centralized areas for inspections.

Quotes shall include proof of any required insurance, vendor qualifications, certifications, and all other documentation necessary to show the vendor is qualified in accordance with the specifications.

The park has approximately 314 miles of roadway and successful vendor can anticipate travel for contract service at approximately 450 miles.

Quotation packages must include all requested information as stated under Instructions to Offerors in the Solicitation. Incomplete quotation packages will not be considered.

Hours of operation:

Monday – Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM MST, excluding government holidays
