1. Confirming that new CAT6 cables need to be run for all 20x cameras at?

Yes all new cables need to be run.

1. Is a new Storage Appliance required for video storage? Yes

· If the answer to question 3 is yes, then please confirm the following: a) how many cameras will be set to motion detected recording versus 24x7 recording? b) how long does BIBE need to archive recordings (30 days, 45 days, 60 days, etc)?

BIBE will need to be able to store for 90 days.

1. Does BIBE require any new Viewing Stations or will existing computers/displays be utilized for Viewing Stations? WE need to know how many Viewing Stations we need to provide and/or how many Viewing Stations we need to setup, please confirm.

BIBE will only need one station and all others will be able to remote view.

1. For the Panic Button requirement, can you please provide the broader scope of how BIBE intends to utilize the Panic Buttons so we can provide the required solution.

The “panic button” is an emergency dialer system consists of a discrete unit near each fee collection location that when selected by an employee will automatically call the park dispatch/911 and provide an audio connection. We currently have a few older systems: (Skylink Emergency Dialer MS 2001)

1. Please confirm that NPS is responsible for all Network/PoE equipment needed to connect the new IP Cameras to at?

BIBE will have a POE switch for the cameras

1. Does NPS require Pan-Tilt-Zoom capability for the 2x outdoor cameras at the Maverick Entrance Station and the Persimmon Gap Entrance Station? So we can provide the desired camera for this location.

BIBE does no need pan-tilt-zoom capability.

The following questions are related to the new cabling required at Big Bend:

1. Maverick Entrance Station: 2 replacement cameras, 1 inside, 1 outside. Currently the cable is in wire mold, please confirm we can reuse the wire mold?

Yes can be reused for cleaner look.

1. Persimmon Gap: 2 replacement cameras, 1 inside, 1 outside. These cables are currently just wire tied to other cables on the wall. Can we run the new cabling the same way or would NPS prefer we provide and install new wire mold?

BIBE Would prefer to run in a new cable mold for a cleaner look

1. Castolon Visitor Center: 2 new indoor cameras. This building has 8-10’ open ceiling, currently it looks like there are existing exposed cables we could run with. Is this ok, or does NPS prefer we run new wire molding?

BIBE Would prefer to run in a new cable mold for a cleaner look

1. Rio Grande Village Visitor Center:

2 new indoor cameras. 8-10’ drywall ceiling. First location looks like it’s amongst other cables and possibly the network equipment is hanging on the wall we could run with, the other location does not seem to have anything near it. Please confirm if NPS prefers we run new wire molding here?

BIBE Would prefer to run in a new cable mold for a cleaner look

1. Chisos Basin Visitor Center: 3 new cameras. 8-10’ drop ceiling for safe room and front desk. There was no photo provided of the doorway camera location – please provide if you have one. It looks like there is an open wood ceiling in this building. Please provide guidance if NPS prefers we run new wire molding. Also confirming if the network equipment is in the safe room.

BIBE Would prefer to run in a new cable mold for a cleaner look. Equipment is in the safe room.

1. Would you be able to provide the photos and specs of the NVR currently being used and please also highlight in the plans where these are located.

Will not use any existing wire or equipment.

Regarding the requirement at Amistad NRA

1) For AMIS: please confirm there are a total of 33 cameras at the HQ Building? The camera numbering scheme on the diagram (page 8 of 9 in the sow) goes to 32, but there is one camera in the upper left corner that does not have a number assigned. We assume this is camera 33. And with the 7 cameras at the Amistad Ranger’s Station there is a total of 40 cameras at Amistad, please confirm.

40 cameras is correct. Camera 33 was not labeled appropriately.

2) For AMIS: (Diablo East Ranger Station), we wanted to confirm that cameras 6 & 7 are to be mounted to the pole?

This is correct

3) For AMIS: (Diablo East Ranger Station), please confirm where camera 5 (LPR) will specifically be mounted? Will it also be mounted on the same pole that cameras 6 & 7 will mount to?

The Park was not able to confirm the location for this request at this time- assume the most effort in your quote.

4) Please confirm that NPS is responsible for all Network/PoE equipment needed to connect the new IP Cameras to at?

AMIS is responsible for network/PoE equipment.

5) Would you be able to provide the photos and specs of the NVR currently being used and please also highlight in the plans where these are located.

See below

6) Would you be able to provide the photos or high light in the plan where the location of the storage servers will be installed for both the Park HQ and Diablo East Ranger Station.

Images of HQ server rack and current DVR attached. I do not have the specs for the current system. Server/DVR is racked in the server room which is monitored by camera 32 (screen snip 1 below). I cannot confirm the housing location of the DE Ranger station server. Currently it is on a wheeled (mobile) half-rack set in the middle of the building next to the facility restrooms which are not shown on the schematic. The red square in the second screen shot below is an approximate location.
