Question # Question if NPS Response

What is the required warranty period?

All equipment should have the manufacture warranty or up to one year which ever lasts the longest.

What is the required warranty period? What is the acceptable down time of the existing fire alarm system during installation?

If possible would prefer that the fire alarm installation is completed in 1 business day. 5 Business days would be the maximum time allowed.

Regarding the annual test and inspection of full system that is listed on the SOW, is this a one-time annual inspection?

For this contract it would be one time. Service and annual inspection would be separate.

What is the requirement for fire submittals? Such as, fire alarm blueprints designed by NICET Level III or higher and PE (professional engineer).

The fire alarm system shall be designed by a fire protection engineer (FPE) or NICET Level III (or higher) Technician in fire alarm systems. The design shall meet the requirements of the 2021 edition of the International Fire Code and 2109 edition of NFPA 72. Drawings and battery calculations as well as manufacturer's cut sheets shall be submitted to the IMR fire code official for review and approval prior to installation.

Is this going to require final inspection by the NM SFMO, if not, what entity will be approving ESA’s record of completion?

The final inspection and approval is not conducted by the NM State Fire Marshals Office, but rather by the regional fire code official for the National Park Service.

Can the security system be hardwired or wireless or a combination of both. It can be a combination of both.

What submittals will be required to the security system, e.g., blueprints, line diagrams.

At minimum we would need to have a list of equipment and the location the equipment was installed.
