About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for the ROMO HQ E Water Line Rehab Phase 4, 5 & 6 project. The National Park Service Intermountain Region is seeking to rehabilitate water lines at Rocky Mountain National Park headquarters. The amendment provides responses to seventeen questions from potential offerors. It clarifies asphalt wage rates, archaeological monitoring requirements, staging areas, timing for construction to begin in spring 2021, and confirms leftover excavation will become the property of the contractor. Photos of building interiors and a Davis-Bacon wage determination are also attached. The period of performance is from September 21, 2020 to August 31, 2021.

Report after ground-disturbing work is completed.

This final report is required with or without discoveries.

Q3 - The specs reference corp stops but the drawings do not indicate the use of corp stops.

Can you confirm if you want corp stops at saddle connection with mains?

A3. Corp stops are to be used at the saddle connections with the existing water lines.

Q4 - Can you confirm Road Base thickness for under asphalt patches shown on sheet detail C of sheet C13.

A4. Base course thickness to be at least 6".

Q5 - If using rock saws or breakers to get through rocks can you confirm that the cross section of the rock cut or broke that are left in the walls or sides of the trench will be used to calculate the amount rock that was removed from the excavation.

A5. The cross section of the rock left on the side of the trench will be used to calculate the amount of rock excavated for water line installation.

Q6 - Contract line definition states the perforated drain as PVC and all other documents indicate HDPE. Can you confirm if either HDPE or

PVC would be allowable?

A6. Typo in CLIN Definition. Perforated drain should be HDPE not PVC.
