Rawlins Janitorial Question and Answer-Solicitation 140L6224Q0026

Question: I had a couple of questions, may I ask who was last award winner and what the Total Contract value was?

Answer: KMB Ventures. Base year was $56,520 with 4 option years that ended May 2022. This was a similar scope of work, but previously had COVID cleaning as a requirement as well. A subcontractor is currently being used between contracts.

Question: How many employees does the current or most recent contractor have providing service?

Answer: Previous contract was a with a Prime contractor who hired a subcontractor. Subcontractor usually had 2 employees working per night.

Question: What days and times does incumbent or recent contractor employees perform the services?

Answer: See SOW, the buildings shall be clean at the start of each work day Mon-Fri. The cleaning services must be conducted outside of normal working hours of the building.

Question: Does the Government require a specific number of employees to service this contract?

Answer: No.

Question: Is the government requiring the supervisor for this contract be on site or just available for specific times? What specific times?

Answer: Supervision: The Contractor is required to have a responsible supervisor on duty during any and all operations under this contract who is responsible for the work performed under this contract. If a subcontractor is used to do the cleaning work a fulltime employee of the prime contractor must visit the site once per week to ensure the subcontractor is performing all work to the standards specified.

Question: Can the government please confirm how many windows are required to be serviced, if the outside of the windows is required to be serviced and if the windows are on the ground floor or top floor? Is there any specialized cleaning required for the windows?

Answer: Windows: During the Month of April and October, the glass doors and windows around the entire perimeter of the buildings and all interior windows shall be cleaned both inside and out so that they are free of any streaks, lint and fingerprints.

Question: Is there any specialized requirements for trash collection or disposal?

Answer: Take trash out to a dumpster in the back of the main bldg.

Question: Is there a storage space for janitorial supplies in each area that needs to be serviced?

Answer: No, only one janitorial closet.

Question: Can the government clarify whether the employee is supposed to work full time the entire contract? If not, please clarify the work schedule.-?

Answer: Scheduling of Operations: The Contractor shall schedule all cleaning operations and exterior work so as not to interfere with normal working hours of the building occupants. Normal working hours of the building are 6:00am to 6:00pm Mon-Fri Question: Does the government anticipate changing the due date of the solicitation?

Answer: Yes, the due date will be July 22nd. Response due to bwbell@blm.gov by 2pm MDT.
