About this file
This document is a Contractor Questions and Government Responses file for the Mary Fire Temp Fence Construction federal contract (Solicitation Number 140L2625Q0020). The file contains 11 questions and corresponding government responses regarding fence construction details, with key clarifications including:
The project involves a total small business set-aside for installing all-new fencing in Idaho, with government-supplied materials. Specific technical details were addressed, such as wire gauge specifications (9 or 12.5 gauge), wire spacing measurements (top wire at 40", middle at 28", bottom at 18"), and site preparation requirements. The government confirmed the project is for complete new fence construction, not a repair, with a 45-calendar day performance period. Contractors are required to provide installation services only, with the government supplying all fence materials. Additional clarifications covered equipment needs (a chainsaw would be sufficient for brush clearing) and confirmed no specific socioeconomic business ownership classification is required beyond the small business set-aside.
